What We Take
We take refrigerators, freezers, mini-fridges and wine coolers out of kitchens, basements and garages, including down a flight of stairs. A single fridge is our minimum pickup plus a refrigerant-unit fee, both listed on our pricing page. Doors come off if the appliance will not clear the doorway, and we protect the floor on the way out.
A disposal fee applies to this item (ac/refrigerant unit) — passed through at cost and quoted before we load. The amount is listed on the pricing page.

Refrigerators and freezers hold refrigerant, which is a regulated gas. A certified technician has to recover it before the shell can be scrapped, and the recovery facility bills per unit.

Refrigerant is recovered by a certified facility. The steel shell is scrapped and recycled.

Emptied of food, yes — shelves and drawers can stay in. If there is spoiled food in it, let us know when you call so we can plan for it.
Yes. Stairs are the normal case, not the exception. We use an appliance dolly with stair glides and two people.
The refrigerant-unit fee covers certified refrigerant recovery, which is legally required before the unit can be scrapped. It is the facility's charge, passed through at cost, listed on the pricing page and quoted to you up front.
