Eight published load sizes, and your job lands on one of them. What decides which rung is floor space in the truck body once the load is stacked, not a clock, not a headcount of items, not what Damien guesses over the phone. The Number, Then Your Answer
The rung and its published price go to you as one figure. Say no and we are back in the truck at no cost. There is no trip charge and no deposit riding on the answer.
Carry, Load, Sweep
Out of the basement or down from the attic, into the body, and the floor swept behind us. The rung you agreed to is the rung on the receipt, whether the carry took twenty minutes or two hours.

The Only Add-Ons: Disposal Fees
Massachusetts runs a waste-ban list, and the items below are on it. They cannot go into a landfill load, so the transfer station handles and bills them per piece. We pass that through at the rate published here and fold it into the figure you approve at the walkthrough. It is the only thing that ever sits on top of a load price.

D&D Junk Removal is a 5-year-old owner-operated outfit working out of Dudley, and the reason the pricing holds is that there is nobody in the chain who benefits from it moving. Damien quotes the job and then does the job. In Worcester that also earned the 2025 Platinum award, which is voted on by the people who live here rather than handed out by an industry body.

What does junk removal actually cost in Worcester?

Which rung you land on depends on the floor space your pile occupies once it is stacked, which is why the number gets set in your driveway rather than on the phone. You see the rung, you agree to it, and that is the figure on the receipt.
Why price by volume instead of by the hour?
Because an hourly clock punishes you for the things you cannot control: a narrow basement stairwell, a third-floor walk-up, a dresser that has to come apart to clear a doorway. Volume pricing puts that risk on us. A slow carry is our problem to solve, and the figure you approved at the start does not move because of it.
Is there a minimum, and what does it get me?
Yes. $160 is the floor, and it buys the same job a full truckload does. Two people come inside, carry the item out from wherever it sits, load it, and sweep behind themselves. We do not run a cheaper curbside-only tier, because the carrying is the part most people are actually paying for.
What is inside the load price?
The two-person crew, the truck and its fuel, the loading, the tipping fee at the transfer station, and the cleanup afterward. Massachusetts sales tax is inside it too. Nothing on that list ever reappears as a line item at the end of the job.
Can the number go up once you are here?
Only if the load itself grows. If you look at the truck and decide the shed contents may as well go too, we stop, re-price it against the same eighths, and wait for you to say yes. What never happens is a revised total appearing after the truck is loaded and there is nothing left to negotiate about.
Is the on-site quote free if I say no?
Completely. There is no trip charge, no assessment fee and no deposit to hold the window in the first place. If the figure is more than you expected, say so and we leave. We would rather that than talk somebody into a job they did not want.
How do you take payment, and when?
Cash, Credit/Debit, Check, Venmo, Zelle, settled at the end, once the load is gone and you have looked at the space. Nothing is collected when you book, and nothing is collected up front on the day.
Why do a handful of items carry their own fee?
Massachusetts keeps a waste-ban list, and mattresses, box springs, televisions and a few other categories are on it. Those cannot go into a landfill load; they are handled and billed per piece by the transfer station, and we pass that through at the rate published on this page. The crew identifies them during the walkthrough so they are inside the number you approve, never bolted on afterwards.
